Is EPLO a Good Toilet Brand? Here's What to Know

por EPLOINC

If you're shopping for a new toilet, you've probably noticed how many smart toilet options are available today. EPLO is one brand worth looking into, especially if you want the convenience of a bidet, a heated seat, and other features built into one toilet.

But is EPLO a good toilet brand? The answer depends on what matters most to you. Flushing performance, installation requirements, everyday features, warranty coverage, and the right fit for your bathroom are all worth considering before you buy. Here's what to look at when evaluating EPLO smart toilets.

Who Makes EPLO?

EPLO began in 2006 with a focus on everyday comfort through smart design. Its product lineup includes one-piece smart bidet toilets for North American homes, as well as the W20 wall-hung model for bathrooms where a wall-mounted design may be a better fit.

For floor-mounted models, checking the rough-in measurement is an important first step. Many EPLO floor-mounted models are designed for a standard 12-inch rough-in, measured from the finished wall to the center of the floor drain. Always confirm the specifications of your chosen model before ordering.

What to check before you trust any toilet brand

Every brand says it's the best, so skip the slogans and check four things:

  • Certifications — tested against real standards, or just advertised against them?

  • Flushing power — does it clear the bowl when your home's water pressure is weak?

  • Features you'll actually use — wash, heated seat, hands-free operation. Not spec-sheet padding.

  • What happens when it breaks — warranty length, and can you reach a human?

How EPLO compares

Certifications. Most models in the current line publish a MaP flush score, and the models that do are listed at 800g-1000g — so the flushing claim is a number you can look up rather than a promise. Individual models carry cUPC, EGS, DOE, and CEC certification — check the spec sheet on the product page for the specific model, since listings differ.

Flushing. Here's where the MaP score actually matters. The models that publish a MaP score carry a 800g-1000g . If you live in a low-pressure home, the deciding detail is whether the model pairs a tank with a booster pump: that combination is what holds the flush steady when incoming pressure drops. When in doubt, check the Flush System field on the product page.

The daily features. Rear wash, front wash, oscillating wash, heated seat, warm air dryer, night light, auto flush, and foot sensors for the lid and seat are all in the range. Power-outage flush and an auto foam shield are available on selected models. The foam shield dispenses a dense foam layer across the bowl to block splashback, trap odors, and lubricate the pipe to reduce clog risk — on selected models a separate pre-wetting step also wets the bowl wall before use.

Warranty and support. EPLO's warranty is two years from the date of purchase, and technical support is free for the life of the product. Full details live on our warranty policy page.

  • Check your rough-in. Our floor-mounted models need a 12-inch rough-in, which fits most US homes. Measure from the wall to the center of the existing flange before you order.

  • Confirm you have a suitable outlet nearby. Heated seats and warm air dryers draw real power — plan the electrical run before the unit arrives.

  • Wall-hung models need a pro. The W20 uses an in-wall tank, so the framing has to be right. Bring in a licensed plumber.

  • Check your water pressure. Tank-and-booster models are your best bet in a low-pressure home.

So, is EPLO a good toilet brand?

EPLO is worth considering if you're looking for a smart toilet with integrated bidet functions, everyday comfort features, and model-specific flushing and certification information you can review before buying.

The most important step is to compare the specifications of individual models rather than assuming every EPLO toilet offers the same features or performance. Check the flushing system, applicable certifications, warranty terms, and installation requirements to find the option that best suits your home.

A smart toilet is only a good fit when it works with your bathroom's layout and plumbing. Taking a few minutes to confirm your rough-in, electrical setup, and water pressure can help you make a more informed decision.
